Patient Appointments

Appointments are scheduled on Mondays - Saturdays. Afternoon and evening appointments are also available. Early morning appointments can be arranged when necessary. We are closed on Sundays.

To make your first visit more efficient, please print and complete the  forms available on this website. This will assist us in getting to know you and using our first visit more effectively. When you arrive, you will be promptly seen. Please try to arrive a few minutes early for your appointment. We are very careful to keep on schedule, so that it is highly unusual for you to be seen more than a few minutes past your scheduled time. Arriving early allows you to rest a few minutes and it also allows your pulses to calm for the visit. When a patient rushes to make an appointment, it disturbs the qi (vital energy) and pulse.

We want to make sure that you benefit fully from a complete treatment session, and this is another reason to come a little early. In order to be fair to other patients, we do not extend the treatment into another patient's appointment if you arrive late.

Cancellation Policy

If you cannot make an appointment, please notify us as soon as possible. This is especially important to help us always be able to offer same-day and next-day scheduling to our patients. Phone and voice mail are available 24 hours a day. Because we do not double-book patients, when you fail to arrive for an appointment a hole is created in our schedule. Patients who have acute problems or need to be seen the same day may be inconvenienced or denied treatment.

We ask that you provide 24 hours notice of a change or cancellation of an appointment. We understand that there are unavoidable situations and inconveniences in everyone's life, but repeated problems keeping appointments will result in dismissal from the practice.

Telephone Policy

Because we run our office efficiently and with care, our patients do not experience long wait times. To help us maintain this kind of professionalism, we are not able to spend long periods of time on the phone. Please call to schedule appointments or ask a brief question, if necessary. If you require more than a few minutes of attention, please schedule a consultation.

If you reach voice mail during our stated business hours, this likely means that we are with a patient. Please leave a clear message and we will do our best to return your call quite promptly. After hours, you are always welcome to call. If you reach us, this means we are available and likely willing to see you. If you receive voice mail, we will call you as soon as possible once our office is open.

Payment Policy

Payment is expected in full at the time of each visit by cash or credit card. No billing or payment plans are accepted. We do not participate in government or insurance company programs.

If you have a Medical Savings Account (MSA), Health Savings Account (HSA), or a Medicare Medical Savings Account, you will be able to use these funds for treatments received at The Wellness Point.

Coordination with Other Practitioners

It is our policy that your medical treatments be coordinated with your primary care physicians (or other specialists) if you have them. We believe it is best for all medical care to be coordinated, so we encourage patients to communicate the plan of care between physicians. We also notify and update your physicians (with the information you provide us) as we treat you.
